This is a triumphant love story, of Apurva and Kishor who started as off childhood friends and later fell in love and turned into college sweethearts. This is a story that tells us that no matter what the circumstances, when your love fights for acceptance, the struggles are perfectly worth it. Nothing in life worth having comes easy. And so they tried, hoped and finally made it. Made it to the beginning of a happily ever after.
Kishor, a telugu boy with a sharp sense of humour and Apurva, a shy kannadiga bride with the most gorgeous smile, finally tied the knot in the garden city of Bangalore, amidst family and friends. The wedding ceremony was a blend of elaborate customs from the two diverse styles of South Indian weddings. After an exhausting reception evening where all the fun concluded close to midnight, the telugu wedding rituals commenced in the calm hours of 3.30 am. The lack of sleep for a few guests were soon converted into loads of fun though the haldi ceremony.
For the wedding vows, the bride was dressed in a beautiful Kanjeevaram silk saree of varied hues and intricately carved south Indian temple style jewellery while the groom draped himself in a silk veshti and crisp cotton shirt. The entire wedding was an affair of elaborate rituals , a super fun wedding priest, fun loving cousins and an array of mouth watering southern delicacies.
Although the language, region and culture may have been different for this couple, they both received the blessings in the same language… The language of Love and Happiness ….
